The Consulting Club at IIM Calcutta  is a student-run organization dedicated to educating the IIM Calcutta community about the consulting industry and preparing students for successful careers within it.

The club aims to provide its members with opportunities to participate in consulting projects that provide them an insight of the consulting domain.Presently 6 live projects are happening – for clients including an international consulting practice, a top sports accessory firm and well known shipping firm among others.The club arranges various networking events to enable students to interact with the consultants in an informal atmosphere and provide them with a better understanding of the industry.

Additionally, the club helps students with acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the consulting recruiting and interview process. To this end, it arranges workshops and other events hosted by top notch consulting companies. These crashers before various interviews save the day for many students.

The club organizes consulting related games, quizzes and case competitions from time to time to facilitate student body participation in consulting related activities. The list this year included  Genesis- a case contest, Empires of the Mind- a strategy game, a workshop by Accenture on consulting and many more.

The Joka Strategist is the club’s in house magazine -completely written and edited by club members. The next big leap for club is AUDIRE, a pan-IIM consulting Magazine soon to be released, come February 2009.

The Consulting Clubs of Indian Institutes of Management – Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta take out AUDIRE – a magazine which intends to bring together thoughts from the best brains across the leading management institutes in the country.The vision of Audire is to be the gateway of strategy and consulting knowledge that business managers and leaders could look up to for new ideas, insights and analyses of issues across management disciplines and business sectors. It aims to provide management students across the country with an opportunity to put forward their thoughts to the business world.
