OutTh!nk is a special group of people within IIM Calcutta. It is a group which exists solely for the purpose for exercising those rusty grey cells. It is for Tracy Whitney from If Tomorrow Comes, it is for Frank Abagnale Jr. from Catch Me If You Can, it is for any random Joka student who likes to think in non clichéd and game theory flavoured lines. The group conceptualized the popular Pixellated Chaos, which is as much an applied game theory game as you will ever get. If you think Strategy (outside academics) OutTh!nk smiles at your furrowed brow.

A typical OutTh!nk event involved asking people to come up with a random number from 0 to 1000, up to two decimal places and awarding the winner’s prize to the contestant closest to (0.5 * Average of All Entries). The winning figure if you were wondering was 66. 06.

OutTh!nk recently conducted an edition of Pixellated Chaos for Intaglio, IIM Calcutta’s B-School festival. Rumours that they are going to patent Pixellated Chaos remained unsubstantiated till the time of going to press. Which sort of explains why this page is late.
